Prime Timers of D.C. is a social organization that has served gay and bi-sexual men in the Washington D.C. area since 1997. The organization is a chapter of Prime Timers World Wide which has many chapters, not only in the United States, but also in several other countries.
Primer Timers of D.C. services the Washington Metropolitan Area, of which the District is the principle city. The D.C. Metro Area has a population of over six million, which is the sixth-largest metropolitan statistical area in the country. The population of Washington D.C. itself is approximately 681,170. If D.C. were a state, it would be the 49th most populous state, ahead of Vermont and Wyoming. Washington, D.C. is one of the most diverse cities in the United States and offers an array of opportunities for fun including excellent restaurants, museums, and a wide variety of cultural and sporting events. Legislation authorizing same-sex marriage passed in 2009 and the District began issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples in March 2010.
Prime Timers of D.C. provides a variety of activities that afford men, most of whom are over 40 years old, with an opportunity to enjoy socializing numerous times each month. There are several opportunities for dinners and lunches out in restaurants, cultural events, movies, day trips and other events throughout the Washington Metro Area. The overall goal is to have fun, network, make friends, and provide an opportunity to socialize with a variety of guys.
Prime Timers of D.C. heartily welcomes guests to our events, and of course, new members. Please come to one of our events shown on the website and check us out. We look forward to meeting you!
